Zambia faces a US$51 million budget gap in its National Malaria Elimination Strategic Plan (2022-2026). The End Malaria Fund has been established to receive, manage, and distribute financial & in-kind contributions to close this gap. This fund is managed by an independent Board of Directors chaired by the Private Sector to ensure that resources are pooled, managed, and distributed efficiently.
2023 GAP Submitted to the End Malaria Council, by the National Malaria Elimination Centre

  • 1,950 registers for 2023 Mass Drug Administration (MDA)
  • 18,654 bicycles for Community Health Workers (CHW) to increase access to health services close to the families, through testing and treating at community level.
  • 2 million bed nets for distribution to pregnant women and children under 5 years (EPI/ANC)
  • 155 Bicycles for Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) Operators
  • Refurbishment of 15 IRS bases
  • Servicing, repair and maintenance of vehicles
  • Development of malaria business case
  • Communication campaigns at various platforms
